Steps of cultivation
  1. Prepare growth medium and generously moisten the surface
  2. Distribute seeds evenly and avoid partial clusters
  3. Moisten the seeds extensively with a water sprayer
  4. Cover with any cover and weigh it down (e.g. two baking stones), store in a dark place
  5. Germination occurs in 2 - 3 days
  6. Remove cover and transfer to aquaponics system
  7. The ripe microgreens can be harvested after 7 to 14 days
  8. Harvesting should take place in the morning or evening due to cooler temperatures

Brokoli-Microgreens(Brassica oleracea) require precise sowing densities and optimized nutrient supply for maximum yield. Based on yield trials, a seeding density of 13 g per standard tray (approximately 28 cm x 54 cm) is recommended, which corresponds to approximately 2.5 trays per 32 g (1 ounce) of seed. The average culture time to harvest is 12.5 days when harvested at the first true leaf stage (not the cotyledon stage). Research results show that the use of rock wool as a growth medium in combination with AB mix nutrient solution provides the best results for seedling height, leaf number, fresh weight and chlorophyll content. Brokoli-Microgreenscontain 4-6 times higher nutrient concentrations than adults Brokoliplant and are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants. Analysis of the antioxidant content shows the presence of betacyanins, which can be detected by a color change to red with the addition of HCl. The ideal soil temperature is 24°C until germination, then reduced to 16°C. Brokoli-Microgreensdevelop a mild Brokoli-Taste with dark green leaves and long stems.
